Tana Toraja is a district in the province of South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The capital of this district is in the Makale sub-district.The Toraja tribe inhabits mountainous areas and maintains a distinctive lifestyle and still shows the original Austronesian lifestyle and is similar to the culture of the Toba and Nias Batak tribes in North Sumatra province. This area is one of the leading tourist attractions in the province of South Sulawesi.underwent a cultural transformation, namely from a society with traditional and agrarian beliefs, to a Christian community and a livelihood relying on the tourism sector.


ITINERARY :

 DAY 1   MAKASSAR  - TORAJA

Gather at Sutan Hasanuddin Makassar airport, manage baggage and check participants, and head straight to Barru to see the beautiful scenery along the way; Limestone. Rice fields and traditional Bugis houses. Lunch will be served at Arum Pala Restaurant, after lunch proceed to Parepare Municipality, Pinrang Regency and Enrekang Regency, Afternoon milk, tea or coffee at Mount Erotic in the Erekang Area, then head to Toraja, Late in the afternoon, Check in Toraja Heritage Hotel, Eat Evening, Discussion and Overnight (Including Lunch and Dinner)


DAY 2 FIRST TORAJA EXCURSION

After having breakfast, drive for  Lemo a destination to enjoy views of the ancient cemetery on a rock wall with an incredibly beautiful expanse of rice fields, then heading to Buntu Burake Hill  to see the statue of Jesus Christ and take pictures with the view of Toraja from the top of the hill, followed by lunch at the panoramic restaurant after having lunch, take a trip to Londa, a famous tourist destination in Toraja, namely the cave tomb on the hill, which contains coffins, bones and skullcaps and finally back to the Haritage Hotel to rest and have dinner.          DAY 3 SECOND TORAJA EXCURSION

After having breakfast drive for  Bolu Market to see the traditional Toraja livestock  where we can discover the authentic buffaloes and pigs selling for daily Toraja needs, after that visit  Pallawa where a rows of Tongkonan and Alang (Toraja traditional houses and rice barns), and then continue to visit Bori Kalimburan to see a baby grave and funeral field with magnificent megalithic standing stone, lunch will be served at Kaluak Restaurant at Baranak. After having lunch, drive for KeteKesu to see the traditional houses and rice barn and the giant grave and oldest wooden gaves (Breakfast ,Lunch and Dinner Including)

        

DAY 4  TORAJA - MAKASSAR

After breakfast at the Toraja Heritage hotel, the baggage drop and check out process, go straight to Makassar. Lunch will be served at Kupa Beach Restaurant. After lunch, continue the journey to Makassar for approximately 3 hours drive and in the afternoon arrive at Sultan Hasauddin Makassar Airport. End of Research Field Trip Program and Business Travel.
